All i know is that the norm is that the league assistant usually is the one to take over the game, this is not to mention how chaotic it was after pop was ejected. Nobody seemed to know what was going on, who to listen to.

Where is she listed as the lead assistant coach? I don't see any such designation on the official Spurs website.

Would be nice if we could get Pop here for real.

Too bad we waived Ryan. We could have traded him and 2 second rounders for Pop. :p could we trade Nene with 4 second round picks???hmmm

    Woj: Spurs Heading Towards Rebuild

The San Antonio Spurs are moving into another phase of the franchise after more than two decades of continuous success.

The Spurs have decisions to make on the futures of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.

"This is a different day for this organization," said Adrian Wojnarowski. "They lived in a separate, parallel universe of the NBA because of the continuity they had."

While the Spurs have a number of talented younger players such as Dejounte Murray, they don't project to remain a perennial playoff team in their current iteration.

"This rebuild is coming in San Antonio," said Wojnarowski. "Whether it's this trade deadline or this summer. There's no getting around it. It's going to be a hard road for them. They're not setup to turn this around very quickly."

The Spurs also are without a timeline, at least publicly, on how long Gregg Popovich will remain as head coach.
