I went to State of Grace for the first time a couple weeks ago and would highly recommend it.

I thought State of Grace was way too loud for a quiet dinner.
Music was playing and kinda loud which makes table noise louder around you as well.

Da Marco or Tony's would be a good choice for Italian.

Yea, that is fair. I went on a Tuesday so probably way quieter than a usual weekend night.

That old church isn't actually that quiet. Mark's had issues for years with the noise level until they put in a bunch of noise dampening stuff. I always liked Houston's on Westheimer if I wanted something quiet, but that location suddenly closed down a couple weeks ago.

This is easy. Patrenella's. Built out of two 1938 houses with their own herb garden, and add to that the fact that the Patrenella family is one of Houston's institutional first families of restaurant royalty. Afterwards, if you're still up for a glass of wine in a different environment, head over to Simones on Sunset. I take dates to these places all the time and they love them.

Mark's never had a Kirby location; just the one in Montrose.

Since you're early in your marriage, you want to make sure you're setting expectations properly. Keeping the interest and romance in a marriage throughout the years is tantamount. You're going to see a lot of ups and downs throughout the years. Work pressures, children, changing tastes and outlooks socially, politically, sexually. It's important to keep it all fresh and new. It's not just on you though. Your wife needs to learn and grow with you to ensure you're both challenged as your wonderful journey together continues. Chili's on a Tuesday night.

Not sure about quiet, but used to like Houston's as well. Although our last experience at the Westheimer location was horrible.

Also Potente by Minute Maid is excellent. It's pricey but well worth it IMO.

Yes. I just discovered that they have their own bakery on the second floor.
