Would MLB-style DL lists where if you are "injured" you get put on a list and you miss a minimum # of days solve this issue? I think it would. MLB has 10-day (used to be 15-day) and a 60-day. I would think a relative system for the NBA would work. A 5-day and 30-day lists would be closely equivalent. You could potentially miss a minimum of 2 to 13 games under that system which would really make folks think about "resting" as an injury. Now Load Management is a minimum 2 games maybe more depending on the schedule. The only way to cheat that type of system is have load management player suit up and get a coaches DNP which would be very obvious to see and criticize. Coach would have to answer why his star player got a DNP which would be hilarious.
This reminds me of the Clippers Dating Advice thread Kawhi: "He babe. I'm looking for some Load Management. Can you manage my load?"
I understand why fans don’t like load management, they want to see better basketball and feel like guys making multi millions should be playing. She had a great point though. What good are your stars when they’re injured? Everyone loses.
It's negative ev when stars rest on nationally televised games. Or when Popovich would pull dnp-old his whole lineup. Being honest. Rockets need to use it this season. But really is foul when teams late scratch due to soreness. It's unfair to fans & cost professional gamblers $
I honestly see and understand all sides. Good luck getting Harden to take time off. They’re being smart with Westbrook which is good.
