Klobuchar wants to tell Fox News they can't have nice things like higher wages and healthcare and smaller student loans, or background gun checks etc. They already believe this so why bother?
Klobuchar qualifies for December: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/one-last-candidate-qualifies-for-the-november-debate/
If Klobuchar is the moderate Dem alternative to Joe Biden, I wish Biden voters would go ahead and make the switch now. I'm not a particular Klobuchar fan, but I'd much prefer her if I had to pick a moderate. Biden still holds that aura of electability, but I swear he's a paper tiger. With some runway to build her case, I trust Klobuchar in the general much more than I trust Biden.
my current assumption is Biden/Klobuchar Say what you will about her moderateness, she is a damn good debater and campaigner. And an effective Senator.
man if the December debates stay like this I'll be happy. Those 6 are all we need up there. Rest can drop out. Biden/Klobuchar I would vote for. Klobuchar/Booker I would vote for. Don't know enough about other non-running Democrats to imagine tickets around those two right now.
The reason why I asked that particular poster was because he would have put some actual thought into his answer and I wondered why he used the word trust. You I don't really care. Thanks for playing though.
Gotta be honest, I'm starting to like her more and more. Her #1 issue is the environment. She's for a public option universal healthcare plan, practical gun control, path to citizenship for law abiding immigrants, etc. I think she's someone with which a lot of different groups of people can be comfortable.
Decency, strength, humor, sanity, pragmatism. Yes, I have always liked her, but she hasn't caught on yet. She's new to a lot of voters who don't follow politics. Not to be repetitive, but I'll always see Warren as the zany aunt you try to avoid at Thanksgiving and Klobuchar as the sage one you ask for advice. Warren is foisting some sort of raw kale and spinach salad on everyone, and Klobuchar made hot buttered rolls. That's just what they project as mammals, I think, fair or not.
Neither has Castro, but he's cutting staff in a couple of states, just like Kamala. It won't be long.
Completely agree with this. I like that she doesn’t attack on a personal level Dems who have more liberal principles but instead makes great points about the process of governing in a diverse country with realistic policies that can quickly be implemented. I feel like Biden has a tendency to rub progressives the wrong way and progressives would be much more enthused about supporting her. I agree about Biden. On one hand, he’s survived some scandals already so maybe he has some political durability but you get the sense that he’s a paper tiger as you alluded to.
