Westbrook will have to change and do less stat chasing and more defensive playing for this team to succeed.

Sure they do. The lurk in the shadows patiently when things are going well, waiting to pounce at the first sign of any Rockets malice.

To proclaim we could have the best offense in history is not necessary;)

If the Warriors give us a beat down with zero members of their former dream team playing, then the basketball gods are ****ing with us.

Daryl: Mike, can I talk to you for a minute? {walks short distance from other coaches, players]
Dan Tony: {sighs] Ah, s***, here we go....
Daryl: No, no, nothing like that. Your job is safe---
Dan Tony: Well, that's a relief.
Daryl: ---for now. And I'm not one to criticize or point out this or that---
Dan Tony: OK, because you said you wouldn't interf---
Daryl: ---but I thought, maybe I can get Muggsy Bogues out of retirement to play center for us? Maybe place a call to Peter Dinklage, see if he can hoop? He probably has more free time now that Game of Thrones is over.

'Basically, MDA oversaw last year team's Defense and the Defense from 2 yrs ago......'

Well, other teams have adjusted and your defenders got older and some got tinier with the new measurement.......

The other thing is that unless Daryl wants to fire MDA, there's literally nothing he can do now, even if he wanted to. That's what I wrote about in my blog post today about these interviews. Morey saying they could look at changing things after 20 games or so if this continues... it's probably not a coincidence that that's about a week before the Dec. 15 date that nearly everybody around the league becomes trade eligible.

So even if behind closed doors he does have concerns about the roster... there's no benefit to him expressing that. For starters, it always puts you in a slightly worse negotiating position if you tell the world you're desperate. But beyond that, there's also no point in sounding the alarm bell and making everyone around the team uneasy when there's nothing that can be done for at least 5 weeks, regardless.

You're so very correct. I just wish EGO hadn't become such an overpriced paperweight.

We just have to make a few more of the 50 3-pointers we plan on jacking up every night.

    Everything else is cream cheese.

I don't believe Morey wanted Westbrook, he is not an efficient player - I think Morey wants OUT of Houston right now, probably why he tweeted what he did....

All conspiracy stuff, but it just seems like this is NOT a Morey roster, and he wants out.....probably has far less control than he should have now.

Morey will be gone by season end. A top 10 defense doesn’t put give up 158 points to the Wizards.

Yes Daryl that does sound crazy, because we no longer have those 2 6'8 forwards that could switch onto anyone, thus enabling said top ten defense. And that's simply just the most glaring difference from 2 whole years ago...

I am not even a pro and I always summarize at the 20 game margin.

During the Miami game, the commentators repeatedly spoke of how Miami has done a good job "finding 3 point shooting personnel" for their roster.

Large, long, agile forwards and 3 point shooting wings. Seems like a concept Morey should also consider applying, instead of short, high-volume chuckers.

Sounds like something the entire NBA is trying to apply.

Also, where has Miami been the last 4-5 years?:D

Have they been the only ones challenging GSW?

Like we have a choice other than to be patient haha. What are we gonna do, become Mavs fans? We sure as hell aren't going to make a splash signing or trade.

This is who we have to roll with. Just gotta hope that some of the young guns like Clemons, Clark, Hartenstein become rotation players.
