It's tough boys that is for sure. 8 outs away from the ring. Harris made a great pitch. Runners left on baseball will always be the reasoning.
You can honestly say we were extremely "lucky" to even be in a game 7 of the WS with that stat. As some have said. We beat ourselves.
I tend to think they were unlucky. At the macro level, they slightly out hit the Nationals and even less slightly out pitched them. The Astros had a higher batting average, OPS, and SLG. They put 10 more men on base. The Astros had an identical ERA and walks, but a lower WHIP and higher K rate. I don't have stats for hard hit outs, but I think the Astros likely led in that too. Both teams had the same amount of errors, but the Astros gave up 3 unearned runs to the Nats 0. Give the Nationals props for their two-strike approach, making their hits count, and taking advantage of their opportunities. They did what they needed and were definitely the more "clutch" of the two teams over the final two games. Hit sequencing (particularly over a small sample size) has a big luck factor though. I'd say both teams played about equally well and the Astros had a little less luck than the Nationals.
These losers did the baby shark at the parade lmao. We lost to these bozos. Jesus we'll always be remembered for choking by losing every game at home.
Shoulda woulda coulda...Agree with him too but no point discussing this now, it's over, AJ blew it, the Astros blew it, now the question is what do they do with all those tshirts they had ready?
Anyone rewatch the game during the quarantine? That Chirinos AB in the bottom of the second really fkd us and we should've scored an extra run that inning. If we had scored another run before the 7th I think Zack stays in the game.
