Fire Mike D'Antoni

Not a believer in MDA but someone has to be accountable for the sh#t defense we are watching. We aint even contending this year if that doesnt change. Just horrible.

 

I think we have a roster problem than a coaching problem.

We don't have great defenders nor rebounders and too many guards.

 

I agree that its probably more Morey's fault, but i dont think we can expect MDA coached teams to excel defensively and i think that's a huge shortcoming.

I dont think you fire MDA no matter what tbis seadon, but i miss Jeff Biz D

I said the same thing watching the game last night. I hate this stupid offense we have no plan B. Just shoot 3’s if they are not hitting so what.
No Defense none and this team plays dumb.

 

Doesn't matter Brian. 3-1 Brian. Southwest Division Champs Brian. Actually not true because the Spurs are 3-0 Brian.

 

I don't understand fans. The Rockets have done relatively well under Mike D. Yeah, we haven't won a championship, but we still have been a damn good team.

You guys really believe in your hearts that it is a fluke that we have such a good record under Mike D, along with 2 WCSF and one WCF appearances?

You can call this offense gimmicky all you want, but the only reason we don't have a championship is because we played a team that was ****ing stacked, even when one star went down.

 

He has ridden the coat tails of JH and co since he has been here. He has zero game adjustments, has some questionable player rotations and now we are seeing what life is like when he doesn’t have any defensive coaches on the roster to teach this team some defense. We are #29th in defense.. 29th that is lottery team placement not where a “contender” should be. He doesn’t hold his players accountable and it’s showing this year. But we’re 3-1 and #1 in offense so I’m sure all is well in MDA’s mind.

you were watching LAST night and were mad about the OFFENSE?

Maybe your expectations are a tad too high lol.

 

Complaints about the offense have been happening for years. The offense that is 1st or 2nd every season, including a couple that were some of the best of all time. It’s wild.

 

Its both.

Even with essentially same players sans Brodie, Rockets went from the bottom to the top defensively after Bzdelik brought back.

The Bzdelik factor is HUGE.

This GUY is NOT a GOOD Coach.. how many teams has he coached and how many championships has he won NONE.

 

Jerry Sloan and Rick Adelman also not good coaches.
Jeff Van Gundy too, etc.

Oh please like there isn't anyone else ever connected to the league who knows how to play and coach defense. It's not about lack of knowledge, MDT could teach defense (been in the game for decades!!) but he just doesn't give a ****. Our players don't give a ****. No defensive coach is gonna change that. Season has started so the current Coaches and Players are going to have to commit to preaching it and practicing it period.

 

Get JVG back as the head assistant coach. He will hold players responsible on defense and rebounding despite all our shortcomings.
He won’t interfere with MDA on offense.

I love JVG Saleem, but i don't think he and Harden would mesh well together. I don't think he is compatible with Morey anymore either. The Rockets style would conflict with what JVG fundamentally believes in. I think that Tilman would like his no nonsense style, but that's about it. I understand your frustration but if MDA is removed i don't think it would be for an old school no nonsense coach. We just have to accept and embrace what we have for now and hope for the best once the playoffs arrive.
