Yeah, i mean, i never thought Kerr was a great coach, even McHale would've won with four all stars, but still, getting blowout by 35 in OKC seems a but wierd when you can still play Curry and Draymond.
They are definitely tanking this season. They know they are not going far in the playoffs. They just won 3 championships and their fan base wouldn't mind 1 bad season. If they can get a top 5 pick and package it with Russell, they can trade for a star next summer. Then run it back with curry, klay, draymond + new star.
Of all the non Rockets related things that would bring me the most joy this season.... Curry being unable to “go supernova like Harden” like just about every damn nba “expert” predicted would be very, very high on the list.
Warriors fans doing so much damage control right now in order to protect Curry since it’s looking like he can’t carry a team full of scrubs like many other superstars have had to do at 1 point in time
It's been 2 games. I love ragging on Curry as much as anyone, but I'll give them 10 games or so before calling this season a lost cause.
It's 2 games. No time to panic. Not on the Warriors. Not on James Harden's shooting. Not on anything. Draymond Green: “It sucks. I guess just about everybody but Tim Duncan been through it. But it sucks. Pretty bad.” Draymond: “Our defense is non-existent right now. I don’t even think we know what defense is.” Draymond: “I would like to see us play harder. But the reality is we f—ing suck right now.” Draymond Green: “The reality is we ****ing suck right now...We just not that good right now. I don’t know what better way to frame it. I can try in Spanish, but I ain’t really that good at Spanish.” Warriors are an extremely ugly 0-2. -Trailed Clippers by 31, lost by 19 -Trailed Thunder by 41, lost by 28 -Have led for 0 seconds -Given up 261 points in two games -Went 5/33 from 3 today
every game from BK has been down to the wire...they’ll be pretty mediocre this year, and once KD comes back, he’ll be 32 years old fresh off a devastating Achilles tear so his best days will be way behind him for sure they’ll never get close to winning a title, but Kyrie and KD could be fun to watch
As far as young point guards, some want Ball and others want Trae. Some say Morant. How about I take Nunn?
Nunn could be a gem for sure. But still, if these first few games are any indication of the season they'll have, gotta go with Trae Young... 77 points, 18 assists, 14 rebounds through the first 2 games on 59/55/75 splits.
