Well, Cole has had few rough outings in a row now...and JV has not had much world series good fortunes...what's encouraging is that the bats have woken up the last 2 games and we can get to Scherzer.

If Cole has a "rough outing" like he did in Game 3 of the ALCS, the Astros will be just fine.

Just confirmed on MLB Network by Hinch during a sit down with Russo...Alvarez will be starting in LF.

“He had really good ABs against Scherzer in Game 1, and the more offense we can generate early against him, the better.”

The lineup will probably look something like

    CF Springer
    2B Altuve
    RF Brantley
    3B Bregman
    1B Gurriel
    LF Alvarez
    SS Correa
    C Maldonado
    P Cole

Lots of K’s, few fly balls to LF/RF

Every time that SmackDown commercial comes on in the playoffs with with Reddick doing the Ric Flair strut I wonder how mad opposing fans get (or if they even notice the half second of it).

Think the clip they used was from the 2017 ring ceremony.

Bregman's wake up slam for one. And if Cheerios can hit homers, anyone can. Also Altuve and Brantley are hot.

Not sure what I like more, not having the batters face Scherzer or not having to hear him grunt every pitch.

Probably cause he's pitched in every single game of the post season it seems like. His arm is probably about to fall off next.

They should probably go back to "stay in the fight" instead of "finish the fight"

Scherzer scratched for tonight due to issue in his trap/neck area. Received injection. #Nationals still hopeful he can pitch Game 7, if necessary. Joe Ross starts tonight. Anibal Sanchez available in relief.

Current plan is for Strasburg to pitch Game 6 regardless. Question is whether Scherzer can return for Game 7, if necessary.

Cole has had exactly 1 rough outing in a row. He's given up 6 runs in 4 starts this postseason, 5 were in his last one.
