i think he walked the first guy, had an intentional walk, had 3 hits and 3 ER in 2/3rds of an inning...not exactly getting the job done.
Next up, Nats will load the bases, then use a 15 year pinch hitter to hit a grand slam. They will then finish it off with a 50 year closer who will throw an immaculate inning to end the game.
Yanks will be loaded next year. They lose CC salary, they have a bunch of money coming off the books. I would not be surprised if the threw a ridiculous amount at Cole or someone similar.
They must win 2 of 3 in Washington Then win both in Houston I think our squad and fans were overconfident Astros players need to stop with the dynasty (or mini dynasty talk). Same goes for fans and media At this point I'll take not getting swept All this makes 2017 all that more special. A bad bounce here and lack of a home run there and we could have easily lost to LA
Going to bed maybe they hit 7 homeruns in the next two innings but I’m not optimistic. Only against Houston could a Cinderella team actually win the whole thing. I blame Bryce Harper for this whole mess.
This team had to have some type of fight in them. Hard to believe a team so great, with so much talent, with players on this roster that have been through so much, would just fold like this. They look like they don't even want to be here right now. It's like they were ready to fold in game 6 of the alcs before altuve saved them.
They gave the guy a hit on the Bregman bobble. It was damn sure an error. He makes that play and the inning is over with no runs given up. We all saw the same thing. Blaming Hinch for bringing in Pressly couldn’t be further from the root of the problem right now.
Plus Yankees will be healthier and perhaps they have home advantage. They might regret not going after Corbin so they probably go hard after a starting pitcher(Cole, Strasburg?). Verlander is a year older. Hopefully he pitches well but you never know.
The Stros weren’t the same team this post season. It’s unfortunate but **** happens. The Nationals are just playing better baseball right now. Period. They can still get it together, but let’s be honest, does anyone really see that happening? It’s a damn shame. Still, it’s not completely over yet. Greinke owes us a great start. Maybe we’ll get it, and the bats will come together, and they will play up to their potential again. It’s not over yet, even though it sure feels like it.
We got our asses handed to us these first two games. But.... we are a team that can throw it right back in their faces and win the next two. This team can easily win 2-3 in a row. Easily. Just need to take game three and it all turns around for the Astros.
