This is my first time watching one of these , to adopt the CF vernacular , clown car shows ..... Its a mess, the first 15 min was all about trump. Warren was getting ripped to shreds for a while, which as a Yang supporter i guess i like lol. Bidens had some gaffes I like Yang and Sanders , maybe Tulsi too. klobuchar actually made a good point tonight .. but i dont like her that much. Warren just drones on and on. Beto looks like hes having an asthma attack. Booker is a good speaker . Castro supported yang so like that i guess This is all a show.
It won't happen. If Pete, Booker, Klobachar, or Kamala would be more liberal and weren't so frustratingly moderate, If they weren't so dependent on the donors, this wouldn't even be a race. Maybe Yang makes a run. I had hope for Tulsi, but she is more mercenary than politician.
I'm telling my guns to back down, we good now. EDIT: Meant hired guns sarcastically I remember a time I wouldn't have even have had to say that.
Furthering a right wing talking point? Whodathunk? (not actually watching. still enjoying reading about Astros game and watching highlights.)
Moderates having a great night. Klobuchar and Mayor Pete really killing it. Biden also having a decent night not being the focal point. Warren taking heavy punches.
Warren reminds me of my favorite professors in her ability to articulate her positions, which judging by at least one response here, is apparently a bad thing for some. I didn’t realize that explaining one’s position with a modicum of detail constituted “droning” but then again nobody ever lost anything underestimating the average voter. Gabbard just deep-sixed her campaign with her rather one-dimensional and completely unnuanced rant on regime change wars when discussing the Kurd situation. If anything can unite the other candidates, it’s been their desire to eviscerate Gabbard on this. I am a Warren supporter, but I agree with Klobuchar that you can’t criticize the other candidates for coddling billionaires - it looks bad and it creates disunity at a time when the democrats need to emphasize unity. I also agree with Booker that the Democrats need to establish what they’re for, not just what they’re against. I really want a Democrat to articulate an effective and succinct retort to Reagan’s “government is the problem” line, which has poisoned political thinking in this country for most of my lifetime. In my opinion, there are multiple examples of where government (and good government) is the solution, but a list of examples just makes people’s eyes glaze over. I hope someone can find a good way to say this.
I don't get it, because he's really good (by most accounts) on the campaign trail, at least in TX. But yeah, his theme song should be Mr. Roboto.
1). I don't agree with Warren's economic policies, but man that last answer was pretty inspirational. 2). I still think Tulsi is in it as a submarine Biden supporter. Take her smack down of Harris a while back and then take a look at her answer re: rejecting age as a fair question to Biden, Warren and Bernie. Replay Biden's expression when she started speaking. 3). Pete can bring it.
He looks out of his depth and uncomfortable, it’s hard to watch as a proud Texan, which is also why I’m more critical of him. He’s just not ready for primetime. I’m pulling for a Warren/Bernie ticket at this point. I like yang too.
Harris has a little quiver in her voice when addressing Warren. I don’t think anyone up there besides Bernie can touch Warren on policy.
