Was there a definitive view as to whether or not Yordan missed retagging second base on Yuli’s fly out?
I think catchers, coaches, and pitchers have Alvarez figured out as far as what he likes to hit out of the park. Don't throw him anything low and to the inside. He will jack that sh_t over the fence. He also seems vulnerable to fastballs up in the zone and a little in. Also, pitches which start in and then break to the outside fools him a lot. That period where he was jacking homeruns left and right...he was getting his pitches to hit. I think that was the obvious period before the adjustments were made.
Taking it one game at a time after this Rays series. That was humbling and a good reminder of the difficulty of the path to the top in this sport. That said, I do always marvel at how fast MLB playoffs are. From Wild Card games to the end the World Series, it's over in a month. None of the other sports get it over that quickly. Not even the NFL. The NBA and NHL are two-month slogfests. So, yeah, if it's going to come to us, it'll be back amazingly soon.
Not that I've seen. Though, the clip I saw in the game briefly, which was poor, it looked weird like he had a foot between 2nd and 3rd and a foot between 1st and 2nd. If that is the case, hard to say he was running towards third if that was the case, and had to re-tag.
Yeah...if that was the best view replay had, no way could they say he didn’t retouch. Pierzynski was just so adamant that he missed the base, but I guess I should consider the source.
It’s funny because the regular season is soooo long you would think post season would be even longer. NBA is the worst. Half the teams make the playoffs, 1 vs 8 is a 7 game series...with some series having 2+ days off in between games. Mid April to mid June. Geezus
Alvarez hit .316 against the best pitching in baseball last week. Not too shabby for a rookie. And it seemed like every pitch was on the paint against him on the outside. So I think he's doing just fine. If they figured him out, not sure it's really showing. It may feel like it, but still, .316 might say otherwise with 3 doubles in 5 games.
UT/OU then Stros/Yanks, a day of good vs. evil. Off to HEB, made pizza before Game 1 of the DS, so I'm going with that and Love Street again today.
It's a great day, already...this fantastic weather..hitting garage sales in search of records..jamming out...and all the while...PUMPED about our Astros. Good morning, people. Almost time to kick that Yankee @ss! I feel Like Zack will be locked in, this turn.. Let's be honest. Even though we can't have this mentality as a team.. The winner of this series, most likely wins it all.
You sound naive and uneducated. No wonder half of America thinks mental health isnt a real issue. Have some fkin respect *******.
