Donald Trump to the press corp yesterday defended the US troops being sent to Saudi Arabia despite his rationale for leaving Syria being to end "forever wars" by informing us that the Saudis, for the first time, are paying for our services.

For the past decades, did anyone seriously think we were doing it in the name of freedom and democracy?

Protecting "our interests" is just another way of saying protecting the interest of big corporations and the wealthy.

I dont need a buffoon in the White House with #nofilter to remind me of this fact.

    What's the rate?

$1m per dead US serviceman? $2m? $10m? per arm, leg, eye? $100m for health care for life? Might want them dead than health compromised.

This thread gave me an idea. Let's create a US Foreign Legion for this stuff. Take all the illegals, if they want too of course, and throw them into a unit that we can essentially sell to our "ALLIES". We could probably garrison half the middle east with the number of fighting age males we have illegally crossing into our country. And the other countries could essentially pay for it. It wouldn't get you that same pay or benefits of course, but it could act as an assimilation program and offer a path to citizenship. Of course then we'd possibly see massive troop reductions and then American soldiers would complain about their jobs being taken. And we'd have a different set of issues to deal with.

American’s should be ashamed. The information of what we are doing is out there and so far we continue to tolerate it.

Paying us for military help is bad but being human meat shields and an air force for terrorist kurds is ok since it is free.
