That may be too simple of an explanation on trade war. The trade war has started over a year now and both sides probably has had talks on the issue over dozen times. No side has back down yet, meaning either side can or will be able to replace each other. Certainly, US can find other place to produce cheap products but only solved one side of a side. Who is going to buy the US goods?

while I would agree the love for money over principles is infecting almost every area of life, that’s also something that isn’t new either. But I wouldn’t agree that it’s infected everything. And capitalism doesn’t necessarily corrupt. Like anything else it can be used as a tool for good.....but in the hands of most...it can become something very ugly as well. But I do not think that it inevitable infects every part of life. It just amplifies what’s already there.

Certainly cause me to focus on the Hong Kong protests for the first time. And I'm not saying I understand it all, but I see the Chinese government much more negatively than I did.
