Live footage of anti-government protest in Downtown Hong Kong RIGHT NOW, under a monsoon and defying ban and threats from the police, @Easy Do you see who are the majority?

The last time I heard someone refer to their fellow humans as "cockroaches" with this much glee was the Hutus in Rwanda. That worked out well for the country.

I did have to chuckle at whoever it was in whatever thread suggesting that not supporting Mao and Kim in the late 40s-50's is some sort of black mark on US policy at the time. That worked out well for both of the countries.

Yikes. Looks like China wants either Morey fired or at the very least apologize for being "ignorant" and denouncing the HK protests.

I strongly disagree with CBA's decision. Morey is the victim of anti-China propaganda. His intention was not supporting riots or terrorism in China. He does not know anything abut what's happening in HK. He commented in the same way and as much as he commented on occupy wall street and yellow vest in France, I guess.

My logic is just fine thank you.
When you bring up the 150 year old history of another country in a completely unrelated thread, this shows your purpose clearly.
Justification of CURRENT attrocities and human right violations.

Look you are not better than us. Your great great great grandfathers did the same!
Pointing fingers at others? Yes I will point my finger relentlessly against everyone, my own nation included that commits crimes, genocides, and destroys human rights.

My ethnicity doesn't matter, what matters is my identity as a modern person of this millenium with morals that will not tolerate watching people suffering under regimes such as China's.

    The rule of law?

Saying you stand for the "rule of law" when that law is against UN rights, makes you a complicit to attrocities.
    Thanks for the clarification.

    Of course.
They already blackmailed, targeted and abused protesters, getting them fired and stigmatised for only walking peacefully in the streets.
Let alone a high profile person like Morey.

Hope everyone comes to their senses.

I am just going out on a limb to say Morey got at least some explaining to do, he doesn't have to apologize.

    It's his choice.

It would be good for everyone to just cool off.

If Morey did use a burner account for this, at least it would have taken some time to identify him. :p

Brehski, HK's movie business isn't what it used to be, in the 80s, 90s and early 00s.

It's been going downhill, movie people have been moving to the Mainland, and those who work there are cautious saying anything negative.

Why does he need to explain anything? All he did was post support for Hong Kong.

I hope this incident doesn't end up in me not being able to watch my very cheap (legal) Rockets streaming broadcasts through QQ for the upcoming season.

It looks like it might, right now. That sucks. Especially when, like it or not, the owner has already said that Morey's opinions are not that of the team, which has no opinions.

If I can't get my Rockets fix, I'll be running my own one-man pro-Rockets protests. And I'll probably sob a lot while clutching my Yao jersey

We got more cantonese population in Guangdong province, way more than hongkong. My relatives from guangdong speak both mandarin and cantonese. The local hongkong people might not speak mandarin, so if they come to mainland, they might have to learn mandarin.

Hongkong is one of chinese people's main interest. Its very sensitive matter right now since the HK protest is still going on.
