I drive by there frequently. There's virtually nothing there aside from 2 kiddie carnival rides, the same as it's been for the past year.

I love the fact that EarthQuest Adventures is a CF exclusive meme. It even has its own wiki page. Seriously though, Houston will get its theme park. Too many damned people here to not have it happen eventually.
Why Houston? Floods, Humidity, land prices and heat. A place around San Marcos where one could fly in both Austin or San Antonio would be ideal. Close to the board to pull Mexico, too. I hate to say but Dallas/Fort Wort, OKC, Kansas would be more central to the rest of the country South Dakota would be my choice if I had a say —> pull in some of the Canada money.
And Florida doesn't have all that? We're the third largest city in the nation, a true seat of power. Accessible by land, air, and sea....with chunks of land. Consider also that Galveston will finally have legalized gambling in the not so distant future.
Don’t get me wrong I want it here and will take my family. Most of the venues are outside and like here there are times at DisneyWorld that are unbelievably uncomfortable even in the winter. My family will not go to DisneyWorld in the summer because of the heat; DisneyLand is perfect every time anytime. Remember one is outside most of the day at the park and there is a reason most venues are “domed” here in Houston. Why would they make themselves seasonal cutting into their potential profits.
He was joking. This "rumor" has been a Clutchfans meme for almost 15 years and the rumor itself has been around for 30.
It's a rumor in almost every big city actually. Disney has "allegedly" been buying up land outside of more than a few big cities for the last 35 year or so
