Some of the things happening in the Trump era comes straight from the twighlight zone. Watching and hearing some bat-crazy statements from some of these actors. Worse, regurgitated by some of our members here on Clutch.
The stakes couldn't be bigger. The GOP is probably spending $100K an hour just on lawyers to dream up every possible excuse, obfuscation, discredit of witnesses and vague Constitutional argument they can muster. Just throwing it all out there to see what sticks a little. It's going to be a fantastic display of the cutting edge of advocacy, tight walking the line of legality and believability.
“When the facts are on your side, pound the facts. When the law is on your side, pound the law. When neither is on you side, pound the table.”
He is just a has been that is desperate to be relevant and has lost any shred of integrity he ever had. Should be in prison. DD
There's just been so much of it from this administration. https://quoteinvestigator.com/2010/07/04/legal-adage/
Coverup 101 - this will ensnare a lot of GOP folks, they need to be coming clean or they will go down on the bad ship SS. Trump. DD
Well, at the risk of defending a slimeball, he did not technically lie, he may not have seen the report, but he did fail to say he was actually listening to the call.
Because trump and his family have multiple businesses and other activities in multiple countries where they profit... apparently just not in ukraine.
Oh, we've been in that place for a long time. It has just entered ludicrous speed under this admenstruation.
If he refuses to Testify or answer questions about the Ukraine then it means he is doing it "FOR TRUMP" - which is sort of a trap, if he isn't doing it "FOR TRUMP" then he has to answer. Prison can hold him until he is ready to answer. DD
If he is acting as a personal lawyer and has attorney-client privilege, doesn't that necessarily mean he was not representing the US Govt in talks with Ukraine? And, if he was not there as a representative of the US, wouldn't that mean the "favor" he was working with the Ukraine on was a personal favor to Trump, and not a favor to the USA? And, if the favor was a personal one, doesn't that make the use of military aid as leverage completely inappropriate and an abuse of power? Maybe I'm being too simplistic here.
Thinking of that too. The Agents of Hillary will cross that bridge when they do the sink test on Rudy. DEEP STATE SMELLS BLOOD BEAST IS HUNGRY
No you are on the right track. Gulliani and the other Fox cable news attorneys who are involved are probably going to be the smoking gun evidence that this was a favor to benefit Trump personally.
