The saddest part of this is that Jim Jordan's and Trump's rhetorical skills work on like 35-40% of the American population. That is scarier than Trump.
We have two grown children. They are news junkies like their father, because they grew up around me, and I encouraged in them the need to get the news they were interested in from a broad range of sources. To not take at face value a single news source as telling the truth. I can’t recall if @dachuda86 has kids, but I think he does. I wonder what he tells them. I also wonder what they will think of his take on the big issues we are facing today when they are adults, like mine are. If they are genuinely curious as adults and well educated, they might surprise him. I hope so. I worry about the children growing up with parents who are rabid trump supporters. Parents, obviously, have a lot of influence on their kids if they are around them growing up and engaged with them. They are far from the only influence on them, of course, so there could be hope there.
What is also sad is Jordan is part of the oversight committee. What exactly is his job? To defend the president or to defend the country interests?
