    Whataboutisms are never a very good defense. Chris Paul became unreliable, is old and growing older, is injury prone, and was rumored to be disgruntled. While he is the smarter player and a better match for this team if healthy and reliable, we dont live in that world, and traded for an MVP that has more athleticism, can push the ball, can score/assist/rebound, and has been to the Finals with Harden. While it cant be proven that Westbrook is or isn't ultimately better than CP3, it also cant be otherwise, and at worst is a wash - which means we're in pretty good shape. I'll take this beginning squad over last year's any day, and they haven't even stepped on the court together yet for a real game.
