OT does anyone know, if an NFL player refuses to play under a franchise tag, what's the longest they would potentially have to sit out before being eligible to play for a different team? Assuming the team doesn't rescind it, or only tag the player one year then let them go, like the steelers did to bell... from what I understand, a team could franchise a player three times in a row... surely they wouldn't have to sit out THREE seasons, right? If the team really wanted to play hardball.
Never thought McCaffrey would amount too very much, but the dude is ballin, outside of that guy, the game tonight has little interest for me. Two quarterbacks who are having a hard time adjusting. I'll be watching tho'.
I believe each successive tag is at a higher rate, though. And the team presumably has to keep that cap space free in case the player does decide to sign, so it limits their other moves to some degree.
Yeah it gets higher every year... but a team could theoretically, at a cost, tie them up for three years right- after their current contract expires, before they could play for another team?
And I'm playing against someone who has Godwin. Damned TB WR will have more points than my QB, sick stuff.
This guy is losing it. Are there odds in vegas, can you bet an over/under on how many games before he goes full dennis rodman in a wedding dress? Spoiler
Cam has tricked me too many times but man he looks really bad out there. Not a fan of him but sucks if he’s done.
Haha ofc I was wondering why they even did that in the first place... it's not like shoes & other gear, where everyone buys them. Helmets are an administrative/executive/organizational level decision... AB isn't swaying over those guys. In fact might would have had the opposite effect. JR...do you know did they lose any money, are there any "guaranteed" dollars with endorsements? Guess arbitrarily, he violated moral clause or something even though no criminal charges. Xenith:
