Oh yeah, that's what I meant. These were all-around total asswhippings. Didn't even have anybody thrown out on the bases that I can remember.
Wow that's amazing that the Mariners and A's official twitter giving the Astros so much recognition. Classy organizations.
It took me quite a while to figure out what was going on here, because Twitter threads are just unintuitive. Looks like the A's saw the Astros murder the Mariners last night and posted a worried, disgusted screencap from the Simpsons, and the Mariners replied back to them tonight after the A's got murdered with the grimacing face smiley, and the A's were like, yeah, Homer receding into hedges screencap. And then the Blue Jays Twitter came in and laughed at and with everyone.
Nah, that would've been great. Just some vanilla brosomely love to both teams. This was the Blue Jays comment on the thread:
36 runs on 39 hits compared to 1 runs on 4 hits 48 base runners compared to 5 base runners. Hell our pitchers threw up 27 K's to just make it look a little uglier. We actually did it in 16 innings, with our AAA team playing half of them. These are 2 astonishingly comprehensive beat downs of MLB competition. You could play a series against rookie ball competition and would struggle to get these results.
Yes classy. They are taking their whoopings by the Astros in stride and confiding in each other. Great sportsmanship.
The "worried, disgusted screencap" is a scene in which the kids are yelling "stop stop he's already dead"
I've been watching some of the Yordan replays and Todd Kalas may have to check his shorts after those Yordan homeruns. Kalas-gasims.
May get to see Jesus Luzardo this series, he's a top-10ish prospect and is apparently filthy when he's healthy. Will be pitching out of the pen down the stretch. https://www.athleticsnation.com/2019/9/9/20857686/oakland-as-prospect-jesus-luzardo-mlb-debut
One of the nicer features on baseball savant is that they include videos for most plays with their search results. If this link works for others, it is search for Alvarez's homers. Click his name and details for each homer will be displayed with a video for each homer on the right. Yesterdays are not loaded yet. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/stat...aunch_speed&sort_order=desc&min_pas=0#results
