Repost from: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/texans-release-matt-kalil.301081/#post-12587190 All you have to do to enjoy your Texans fandom is have no expectations: watch the games, get excited when they do fun stuff, and shake your head, laugh and walk away when the inevitable happens. Wake up the next morning and everything's ok. Why anyone would invest actual "give a damn" into this franchise is beyond me. And I love ****ing football, I love all Houston teams, but why beat yourself up every year?
On the plus side I was legitimately happy/excited about the Texans for approximately 90 seconds so that's something.
A lot of teams passed on Mahomes. Andy Reid was the only smart one in the bunch. I was screaming when he made that move ahead of us.
Whatever Your brain is just to big to see reality Continue on with your expert analysis of the Texans game
Lol Brees probably doesn't hate gay people. He probably just didn't do his research and thought this "Focus on Family" group was some wholesome apolitical group that cares about kids reading the Bible. Error on him for not researching about how they vehemently fight against gay marriage and advocate to send kids to "pray the gay away" camps which is child abuse.
Good to see Watson only had 6 sacks tonight. Made some solid vacation money betting Saints at halftime with the Texans having the lead.
BoB's traditional game of keeping it close to one score and losing. Keeps them BoB defenders hopeful to defend and justify our HC actions and playcalls. He's not sht, cause he kept the game uber close. We almost won. Same bs over and over
Honestly can't be too upset about this game. The Texans won a lot of close games last season they lost some too. Like every team in the league. This game was one of the toughest games on the schedule and it came down to the last second. Sure would have loved the win but there are a lot of positives to get out of this game. They finally have a run game, Deshaun is still relentless, Hopkins is still savage, Mercilus is poised for a big year, the line held up in stretches, no major injuries, they will learn from this. There's also some to be upset about but y'all got that covered.
How long has this franchise existed? We still care about moral victories with close loses especially when the close loss was entirely preventable (pun very much intended) with a competent coaching staff?
It was actually a brilliant call. But for some reason our defender touched the player giving himself up which stopped the clock. Time would have expired had we let him lay on the ground.
