They said the same, and Blum immediately called bullsh!t on it. And I agree with him Also, that's 32 runs in the last 9 innings.
That ball had to be farther than his 474ft bomb. 416 ft (super impressive down the line mind you) sounds too short.
Statcast officially says that that 113.5 MPH home run went 416 ft. But that has to be the distance from bat to seat. I don't like that they do that. They have the arc; they should give the projected distance if nothing got in the way of these hits. That's what we all really want to know.
Yeah I thought it was supposed to be projected, think they blew this one. Are we sure West didn’t measure it?
A's waving the white flag and emptying the dugout. eta: Semien, Chapman and Olsen out eta2: Canha too
Dudes...Yordan might...and I don't wanna jinx it ..but he might have a shot at 100 rbi if he stays hot the rest of the year. If he gets to 90 that would be insane.
I just did a little dirty measurement with a picture I found of the right field line and some measurements in AutoCAD. It's within a few percent error for the little effort I put into it. As the crow flies, it's a little over 400+ feet. What it takes to hit a ball that far and that high in an arc is what's crazy. And where it would've landed on the ground is something Statcast could calculate but doesn't.
