In practical terms, would Brexit UK be more like pre EU UK or pre empire UK in terms of power and prestige?

    Only last election?
Do you understand that these towns are Labour born and raised?

They used to be affluent working class towns and cities based on mining, shipping etc and turned into run down slums due to the Conservative's fiscal policy in the 70s and 80s.
They even made very popular songs about wishing death to Thatcher so they can go to her grave to piss on it.
And when she actually did die, there were many parties all over celebrating her death.

In these part of the country being a Torry is almost the same as saying you are a satanist.

No, it is very clear what a pact of Brexit- Tory will mean.
THESE seats will be left to the Brexit party NOT the conservatives.

the pre empire UK we are talking about when? I haven't studied in school western europe history but we are talking about after the black plague?
And pre EU UK, was pretty much at the time when Britain stopped enslaving India, Rhodesia etc

It will all depend on how they Brexit. With a Norway style Brexit, they will be able to continue their massive service sector, and take advantage of the existing 70 trade deals but they will have to lobby to pass their legislation.
Especially the upcoming tax evasion legislature that the EU has planned which was one of the reasons many behind the scenes rich people supported Brexit.
With a no deal Brexit, their services sector will collapse, and their agriculture sector as well because there are 40% tarrifs on sheep meat with WTO rules.
They will gradually relax their laws on food safety and animal welfare and their NHS which is already hanging by a thread, will also succumb soon.

The Good Friday agreement will be broken with no deal, leading to the re- rise of separatist movements in Scotland and Northern Ireland so their own country's union is at a very high risk.

In any case it is very simple. They are the representatives of most of the continent of Europe in the diplomatic and economic arena right now and after Brexit they will only represent 60 million people.

No of course not. The excellent political analysts I read have expressed it out right. There is NO such rule.
And of course there wouldn't be

You think that the EU can just so easily kick another member out due to a problem?:rolleyes:
Hungary ruled by almost a dictator is still in the EU.
They have done human's rights and freedom transgressions that pale in front of the simple "mistake" of not appointing a commisioner.

It is extremely difficult to the EU to kick another member out on their own, once they are in.
What is the EU a door you can open and close to come in and out at a moment's notice? lol

Nobody has suggested any such possibility that I am aware of, other than you in your post quoted above and your previous related post.

This is a strawman argument fabricated by you. For what purpose, I cannot tell.

and when the Brexit party doesn't run anyone, they will vote for whichever party is respecting the way they voted in 2016. the only party in a worse shambles than conservatives is labour.

As much as I like the idea of a strong EU, I am also completely respectful of the UK’s right to leave. But holy beans and toast Peppa Pig: either hard Brexit, come up with a suitable plan by the deadline, or cancel. Stop delaying.

These sorts of deals tend to get done at the very last second. So, it is too soon to say with certainty, but the UK could still exit on October 31 with a deal.

The EU's Brexit Coordinator, Guy Verhofstadt, has extended a welcoming invitation to retiring Speaker of Parliament John Bercow to join the European Commission or the European Parliament. Apparently Bercow has been an all-star performer on behalf of the anti-Brexit EU establishment elites, and they do take care of their own.

Guy Verhofstadt invites Bercow to join European Commission or European Parliament

Guy Verhofstadt has invited outgoing House of Commons Speaker John Bercow to join the European Commission or European Parliament. Reacting to the news of the Commons' Speakers announcement he would be quitting his position, the European Parliament's Brexit coordinator tweeted:

“John #Bercow is a driven speaker and gifted orator but above all the keeper of the great British parliamentary tradition. I would love if we could welcome him in the European Commission or European Parliament.”
He ended his message with a winking emoji.

Parliament will apparently be prorogued tonight, after they vote again on a proposed October 15 early election put forward by the Prime Minister.

Parliament to be suspended as Boris Johnson insists Brexit is on track

Parliament will be suspended for a month starting Monday night as Prime Minister Boris Johnson employs every possible tactic to ensure that Britain leaves the European Union as planned on Oct. 31. The prime minister's office confirmed that Parliamentary business will stop after Monday's session, meaning that lawmakers can't sit, debate or pass laws until Oct. 14. This means less time for Johnson's opponents to stop his Brexit plan.
