Man Mitch Tribby's stats look a lot better than he does... he's made some good plays. Just doesn't seem like he's got what plants crave.

I forgot how much penalties deflated the watching experience last year. Time to clear some dvr space quick.

It’s hard to understand our fascination w this game. It’s frequently ugly and awful and half of these guys will end up w massive brain damage.

Yet, I admit I’m still interested, ... especially to watch a weekly meltdown in the Texans forum!

Both offenses looked rusty af, 4.5 yards per pass for both.
It's only one game for Trubisky so I don't think it's time to throw out the qb with the bath water

Yep. Lack of playing time in preseason shows. I hope we don't look that rusty.

Think it shows. I'm on record, you can't just walk out there and expect to win and play good football without the live reps. Expect the older players like Collinsworth and Young to say it. But the proof is in the pudding. It will take teams a solid 5 weeks to get on the same page and at least 2 weeks to get into game shape. The only thing you can say about it is that at least everyone is doing the same thing so it's a fair fight. It's too late to change it, the mentality is set, but it is a shame as some teams can't afford to just throw games they might have won easily by simply playing. Vrabel pulling his players because Pittsburgh is blitzing in the pre-season, will probably cost him a few wins, not only because the Titans still look like shiot, but because they didn't take the time to solve the problem. They just pushed it away.

Welcome to the new NFL. The regular season has become the new preseason for the starters. Too bad the fans can't pay preseason prices to watch the rust fall off.

The 2018 Week 1 scores beg to differ. There are crap games like last night's every week. Sure there will always be some rust to knock off but 5 weeks to get on the same page is a gross exaggeration.

yup the rest/rust angle is mostly an excuse. the defense completely shut you down and/or you just played badly plain and simple.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27551830/source-ab-initiated-talk-led-mayock-spat

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown initiated the discussion with general manager Mike Mayock midway through practice on Wednesday, resulting in the confrontation where disparaging language was used by Brown and sparked the team's current impasse with the player, according to a team source.

A Raiders source confirmed Brown was unhappy with the fine levied by the team and, seeing Mayock watching practice, walked over and initiated an exchange with the GM. The Raiders source confirmed information from another league source who said Brown called Mayock a "cracker" and unleashed a barrage of "cuss words" during the altercation.

The team source said Mayock tried to keep his cool and defuse the situation.

"[Mayock] was like, 'I'm cool, I understand your displeasure,'" the source said. "[Mayock] sort of just like ... just walked away because he saw it escalate."

The source stressed the confrontation escalated quickly, but it never appeared to be getting physical, and players, including linebacker Vontaze Burfict, attempted to separate Brown from the situation in order to calm him down.

The source said it appeared Brown had read the fine letter -- which he posted on Instagram -- before practice and was angry to begin with.

"When he saw [Mayock], he was like 'I can address it,'" the team source said.

The Raiders source said of Brown: "Nobody works as hard. Nobody loves the game as much, but [it] seems like there is something that is distracting him from his love that [he] can't control."
