The real question is why does Carl have a history of ******** on white Christians by posting threads with negative stories about this subgroup on a weekly basis. No one is defending these people in the story because screw them, but my point is that if I made negative posts about say Jewish people every week, sometimes twice or more, I'd be called out for it. It's a constant posting of negative stories about white Christians. That's all. Just pointing out this poster is a bigot and chooses to only share negative stories about this sub section of society more than others. No nerve touched, just find it interesting. That is not a story about white Christians. I go to church and I know a lot of white Christians. I don't think a single one of them believe that interracial marriage is unBiblical. They certainly don't have the courage to say it to my face. I can't speak to Carl's motivation, but I think the reason why journalists write these articles and why people click on and read these articles is because the idea that interracial marriage is unBiblical is a throwback to the pre-Civil Rights era. Most people not only think it's untrue, they think it has long been settled and that there is no debate any longer about the Biblical merits of an argument against racial mixing. So its a freak show when a story crops up that there is someone out there, maybe a whole congregation of people, who still think marrying outside your race is a sin. But it isn't a poor reflection on Christians, imo, or even white Christians, because people know too many white Christians who would never say such things. It says much more, I'd think, about small town Mississippi which apparently is still so insular that ideas that were defeated 50 years ago still survive (credit to the venue owner, though, for admitting she was wrong and repenting on the interracial marriage thing).

People of a certain demographic group sure like to pretend they are uniquely victimized when others point out bad acts committed not only by members of their community but as a direct extension of the beliefs perpetuated within this community. This is rich considering how their President and talk show hosts like to rant about every crime committed by an immigrant at their rallies and their TV and radio shows. They are also the same people who promote Muslim bans.

Nah if you devote your life and control your business on “Christian principals” you should know the Bible more than someone in their adolescence.
