    Boris Johnson.
    Unelected Prime Minister.
Closes down parliament to enforce his way.
Makes history by becoming the first PM to lose majority in his second addressing of parliament.
Makes history by becoming the first PM to lose his first ever motion.

    Upcoming:
Will make history by becoming the first PM to call for general elections only to be denied by all parties of opposition.

And he will make history by becoming the shortest lived PM of the UK.

    Good job.
None of this would have happened if he hadn't tried to act like a dictator and proroguing parliament.
The opposition would still be wasting time infighting and disagreeing about the next steps.

The Tory Party itself made the law that makes this possible to save their weak coalition government against another hung parliament in 2011.

Oh how glorious to see it backfiring.

The only reason that Johnson is hell bent in calling an election before 31 October is because everyone knows that if there's a no deal Brexit there is zero percent chance the Tories will ever again become government for years and years to come.
They have to win an election fast before there is food and medicine shortages.

Wow, governing by popular referendum is a really, really terrible idea, apparently.

I listened to the leader of the House Reegs- Moggs yesterday.
This pompous arrogant prick actually had the gall to say that referendum > proper vote in general elections so it's ..uncostitutional for parliament to go against the government
We are seeing the groundwork of dictators being laid here.
A referendum giving the carte blanche to the executive to do whatever it wants and ignore parliament and even the law.

Boris Johnson is about to continue his 100% fail rate, by becoming the first PM in history to lose 2/2 of his first votes in a few hours.
Never before has the government ask for an election and the opposition says no thanx I'm good.

So, what is the status of the "National unity government" that we were led to expect?

I didn't pay much attention to UK politics till Brexit and didn't have an opinion of Johnson before that; but him dropping out of the Conservative leadership elections after Brexit despite being the favorite and being a Brexit champion screamed charlatan opportunist. I didn't expect his PM-ship to unravel so quickly tho lol.

There is no reason for that since now the Boris Johnson government will be forced to do by law what the national unity government would aim for. Ask for an extension.
Whether he likes it or not, Boris Johnson can't get elections, can't cancel the law and can't force through a no deal Brexit, he is obliged to go and ask for an extension himself.
    LMAO

There is one more new rebel in the second reading, Caroline Spellman.
Let's see if they will kick her out too.

Yeah, He has a long history of just running away from responsibillities when it's something he finds too tiresome but now he has no choice left.
His charm and rhetoric only are up to this.

In my opinion yesterdays and today's visual are very harming for the Tories.
Threatening and North Korea style Purging of the rebels including Churchill's grandson, ex- Chancellors and the Father of the House.
Johnson today as a PM of the country actually insulting and calling names other politicians in his first PMQ.
    No dignity.

Today Nick Soames, Churchill's grandson made a very moving speech, saying that after 30 years noone can tell him he is not a Tory.

Any long time Tory voter will be appalled and embarassed by what has happened to their party.

The anti-Brexit surrender bill has passed the House, 327-299. It still needs to pass the House of Lords.

Boris Johnson has just risen to call for an election. He has told the UK Parliament that the UK will still leave and on October 31 and that he will not request an extension from the EU.

Obviously, if the opposition objects to this, then they have the option of pursuing a general election.

    Nope.
The prime minister and the government is bound by the laws.
If this motion passes to be law, then he has no choice but to abide by it.
If he doesn't like it he can resign.
