Yeah, he doesn’t seem totally locked in. He probably hasn’t had a season this long in... ever. Might not be bad to get him some off days, even if he’s not even playing the field. ETA: Prior to this year, his longest pro season was 90 games and 391 PAs. He’s at 121 and 532 thus far (combined AAA and MLB).
He's got to adjust to how they're pitching him. He's stopped taking balls to LF, he's watching way too many strikes early in the count, and he absolutely has to learn to lay off the high fastball, especially with 2 strikes. Teams have got a bit of a book on him now and it shows.
No shutout or no-hitter... he's not that good. That last pitch freezing the batter was nice. There's been 20x more no-no's than 20-K. Cole would outshine JV if achieved.
