Think it took me 4 beers and 3 trips to pace around outside and watch through the window to get through the last 2 innings.

Well, the no-hitter would have still been intact if that was the case...

Baseball is a strange f**king game.

This was one of the least interesting games I have watched all year. I was a little miffed at our offense, but I really wasn't very invested. Just a completely forgettable chapter in the 162

Then I saw the line score in the 7th inning, and suddenly I cared....a lot.

Quite possibly most dominant Astro pitching performance ever. If not it is definitely up there. Nothing really to compare it to other than Mike Scott's no hitter in 86 to clinch the division. WTG Toro for coming through in the clutch. JV owes you big time.

    really?

I mean, its great for the team and all... but I shudder to think how much better they'll be if this is what they really needed!

Maybe the other 10 complete game no-hitters? The Ryan one in '81 was pretty special.

No, closest they came was 2 no-hitters in the same 365 day span: Nottebart - May 17, 1963 and Johnson - April 23, 1964. Those were the 1st two in club history.
