If you wanna get technical he hasn’t even made his first pro bowl yet lmao. From reading these comments you’d swear he was Jesus himself
The real get from Seattle would be Carson. People really doubt Seahawks trade him but they did draft penny in the first round. They just have to feature him. You don’t draft a RB in the first round and not feature him. But I believe Seahawks would want Clowney and pick for Carson along with Ifedi and a pick
Shady McCoy just became available, too, which to me means you don't need a back in return. O'Brien coveted Lockett when he was in the draft. Maybe Lockett, Ifedi, and a first for Clowney and a fourth, or something like that.
Maybe they are in this mess because the GM didn’t do his job? The trade for Dillard for a 3rd and a 5th to move up 1 spot was on Gaine. Gaine was more concerned about cap space.
If you really think Gaine was pulling the strings, I don’t know what to tell you. Gaine was hired in part because of his relationship with BOB. The power has resided with BOB and not Gaine since before the hire. Gaine served his purpose though, he was a sacrificial lamb.
Shady would be nice but getting a younger more upside player at RB would be more ideal. And I can’t see Seattle selling to fan base trading lockett. That would leave them really thin at WR plus they can always sell the idea they have lots of good RBs to make up for loss of Carson.
I don't think they would trade Lockett, to be honest. As far as RBs go, to me, we've got Duke Johnson, who's young and has has good upside. If we can get a placeholder, you'd get a better return on investment in a third or fourth round running back than what it'd cost you in the trade market. That's the route I'd go.
Screw all the bs. Get Mccoy... stop wasting Watson's years. Stop trying to outsmart everybody and do what a really takes NOW to field the best football team on the field come week 1.
I think we would be better off with it just being a first round pick or several high picks. I still think Trent Williams can be had for draft picks and think Washington is just trying to maximize his trade value.
Can’t wait to see what mediocre return the Texans get. Good news is the Texans won’t waste Clowney’s prime like Watt, Johnson and Hopkins.
You are expecting a #1 for a player that the Texans are trading at the absolute worst point for asset returns?
