Thornton's been either feast or famine this year (he shut down the Yankees, Boston and the A's once too), but yeah, I'd forgotten how godawful our lineup was that day (subtract Straw also). Those 4 plus today's 8-9 hitters had 6 of our 7 hits. Pretty much tried to forget everything about that game.
Geddy Lee from Rush is at the game. He's the guy in the darker baseball hat on the left of the big guy with the white baseball hat in the second row directly behind home plate (from pitcher's perspective). Fun fact.
Plus Yuli's little brother. They need pitching badly. Great job to minimize the damage there. Hopefully he's not a complete douchenozzle like his dad.
