OIG just said no classified information was leaked. Special Counsel confirmed that Comey's story about improper pressure from the President to abandon his investigation was not bullshit.
says the opposite. thats why he being accused of violating FBI policy. Memo #4 has classified information and he gave a photo copy to his lawyer. What you are referring to is the fact the lawyer summarized the contents to a journalist instead of send him the photo copy. https://thefederalist.com/2019/08/2...er-fbi-director-james-comey-in-formal-report/https://thefederalist.com/2019/08/2...er-fbi-director-james-comey-in-formal-report/ The special counsel was bullshit. which is what i said. As there was no collusion from any American then why need a special counsel? DoJ could of investigated the russian interference itself. So Comey broke the rules for bullshit.
declining prosecution gives anyone in government license to leak sensitive information with impunity horrible precedent
Leaking to other, non-media unauthorized people will probably be a problem for Comey. I don't know if Comey's disclosure tipped the balance for the SC, but I'm glad he was appointed. His disclosure mostly highlighted obstruction of justice issues, and the SC did find obstruction of justice. Obviously, we did not a special counsel to investigate the obstruction or we'd never get to the bottom of it otherwise.
One person quoted the actual OIG report. The other quoted the extremist right wing federalist blog. Hmm, who to believe?
What was the subject of the classified information? Also the IG report states "Sensitive Investigative Information". Where do you see it noted in the IG report that he broke the law by sharing classified information? Also - I'm assuming I'm missing your rage filled posts about when Trump shared classified information with the Russians while they were visiting the White House last year correct? Since you are so concerned about classified information you must be very upset with Donald Trump.
Even if it was true that the SC found obstruction (no official report has made this claim). The obstruction argument makes no sense . obstruct what? There shouldn't of been a SC in the first place. This is opposed to the IG report today which found that Comey violated policy all over the place. He leaked Memos 2,4,6,7 'Comey violated FBI policies and the requirements of his FBI Employment Agreement when he sent a copy of Memo 4 to Richman with instructions to provide the contents to a reporter, and when he transmitted copies of Memos 2, 4, 6, and a redacted version of 7 to his three attorneys.' Spoiler Or you can just go to page 59: 'Comey Failed to Immediately Alert the FBI to the Unauthorized Disclosure of Classified Information'
I actually could care less if Comey is busted for anything or not. I just want to try to keep things as accurate as possible.
Obstruct an investigation that doesn’t make Trump’s and his campaign's behavior look good. You don’t think it was worthwhile to investigate the Russian contacts and information sharing between the Trump campaign and Russian backed individuals? It wasn’t about “adoptions”. Maybe you believed Trump and his “adoption” story.
Totally. That's why you totally honestly claimed that Comey didn't leak anything. Gotta keep everyone accurately informed. GJ.
There was no crime or information sharing so no (I wouldn't care about information sharing anyways). what worth came of it? As far as Russian involvement in election, we didn't need an SC for that. DoJ could do it.
