Trump showed us one thing. That his base was never about limiting big gov't or fiscal responsibility or being anti-Russia - it was always about acting against people like them. Whether that be China, Mexicans, Muslims, Indians, Blacks, Homosexuals, Women, Liberals - anyone not like them is their enemy and that is what the GOP has always stood for since Nixon realized how to win.
