    so my ex and I are in friendly terms. She broke up with me because I wasn’t the best in our relationship and messed up. However, lately it seems like she wants to get together and not in a relationship. I still have feelings for her but I think she’s over me and wants to just smash. I don’t see anything wrong with it. I’m fine with just smashing her but not sure if she will ever trust me again. Yay or nay?

    If its just friends with benefits do you care if she will trust you? Do you eventually want to have a relationship? They never forget, they can forgive but IMO theirs always a little doubt in their mind........I am assuming you may have strayed at one point?

    Once you cheated, she will never trust you completely ever again. That is just a fact. Will she trust you enough to date you or even marry you, it depends. Girls can deal with a lot of crap from a guy.

    She won't trust you.

    Also, the chances of you slipping up again are still relatively high. So I was her, I wouldn't blindly trust you again.

    If you both are clear about the "friends with benefits" friendship, with a twist, why not? The "twist" and what makes your situation different from mine is that long ago, and far away (Montrose/Midtown), when I was doing the "friends with benefits" thing, it was with girls I was never in a relationship with. We were friends who got loaded one night (you might be surprised how often that could happen in the late'60's/early '70's), fell into the sack, and decided we liked it on an occasional basis. I had a couple of friends like that, but we were all hippies. It seemed like part of the lifestyle at the time. Today? I have no idea what it's like. Could be the complications don't make the payoff worth it.
