Yuli stares at a meatball down the middle and swings at the pitch a foot above the strikezone. Damn. Can't fault Yuli, of all people, but damn, it's frustrating to leave so many on the bases.

Some guys like jumping all over the first pitch. Carlos likes to get a read on the pitcher and his timing. He also tends to take a more measured, patient approach at the plate in general.

 

In general today, it seems like the Astros approach has been to take pitches. Well, other than the complete jackwagon AB that Diaz had earlier, of course.

Normally Wednesday would be a work from home day but had to come in for a town hall. :angry:

 

Astros should just cut Brantley, Bregman, Yordan, and Gurriel as they watch more fastballs go by in the zone than Correa this season on a per pitch basis.
