Absolutely nothing should change for him. The availability to get assists and rebounds on this team will be there. The points are a non-question. I have a hard time saying 25 triple doubles is unattainable for a man of this ability. Averaging 10 assists might be tough but who knows.. maybe it'll get easier for him. Maybe the triple doubles become more efficient alongside Harden.
I am really just hoping we'll have other things to celebrate, ya know? But it's the offseason so carry on, I have to go chase some kids off my lawn.
I dont know man. Westbrook likes to push the ball and Harden likes to walk it, somethings gotta give.
this may work perfectly. wb will get 12 seconds to push the ball and try to create something and score, all the while beard is walking slowly to the half court. if wb fails to score, beard will take over the rock once he reaches the half court line when the clock hits 12 seconds. perfect 50/50 split of the ball.
I’m a believer OKC catered to Westbrook as a means to retain Westbrook from going to L.A. and as a means of attracting free agents to the small market Thunder. The triple doubles catches the eyes of fellow young players. Not sure Capela blocks out opponents like Stephen Adams was asked to do in OKC (for Westbrook rebounds). Westbrook should get 7-8 rebounds a game as Houston shoots a ton of 3’s (long rebounds available); but will triple doubles be as easy in Houston as with OKC? I don’t think it equates to winning for Rockets. Around 21 Triple-Double games Now Double-Doubles I say yes......82 games (if he plays 82 games.....more likely 70 games due to minor injuries and work load management). Whether it be pts/ast or pts/rebounds. If not it can be ast/rebounds.
Hopefully not many, he is defiantly an amazing rebounder due to his athleticism but a lot of them came from him fighting his own teammates for him. Hopefully capela will be getting the rebounds
I think he'll have less than 25, but will be oodles more efficient. Scoring a lot, while taking a hit on assists and rebounds. All the while giving us great on the ball/ team defense.
Who’s going to be the primary ball handler? Rebounds should drop a little without a beast like Adams clearing opponents out for Russ.
Capela won’t box out for him like Adams did, BUT the fact that Westbrook will actually crash the boards is actually a good thing. Hopefully it works.
