I would argue that the moment you put your hands on the gun like this and raise the like you are preparing to aim and fire you are a threat and should be a legit target for police and it is no longer legal open carry. Pointing a gun is a threat.

But until that moment, no one has the right to do anything about him? I mean, the guy is wearing ear protection, at a Walmart.

    People are weird.

I've never owned a gun and don't really have any intention of ever owning a gun (though I have contemplated a 1903 Springfield Rifle because shooting is fun and I like military history).

Who wants to live in a society where everyone is carrying guns around constantly?

How can you honestly make the debate that it's safer for everyone to be armed, and that we should be arming more people, than for no one to be armed? It's asinine.

Unfortunately, there are already 400 Million guns in circulation and anyone armed even with only a modern hand gun can commit grave carnage, mass shootings are here to stay folks. It sucks but I cannot imagine a political solution which will take those 400 million guns out of civilian hands.

I imagine mistaken intentions leading to situations that look like this:

I mean, I think it's much more likely people will be shot by accident/mistake with more guns being around.

I don't really get the guns for self defense thing either... like, I think you're much more likely to accidentally hurt yourself or someone you care about by having a gun in your home than to stop someone who is invading your home with the intent to do you or anyone else harm. Even if someone wants to burgle your house, they probably aren't interested in harming you. Do situations arise where someone properly uses a gun for self defense? Sure, but relatively seldomly.

If the firefighter who detained the moron just shot the guy instead, I'm pretty confident he would not be charged. Remember when that black man, John Crawford, was killed by police in a Walmart for carrying a bb gun? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ice-officer-walmart-beavercreek-sean-williams

A police officer can pretty much kill without justification. I'm was discussing the little old lady that shoots someone because they are scared.

White guy: "boys being boys pulling a light hearted prank"

Black guy: "threatening super predator that should be tried as an adult If detained alive. We have rules, and there should be consequences for breaking them. Zero tolerance!"

So, firefighter was armed too. He was off-duty. Was he responding to alarm or just happened to be there?

I'd bet money he would have been charged.
The race of the victim influences the prosecuters

Just as I am sure that the people upset about this guy being detained
had not problem with John Crawford III being killed

I'm pretty sure you're joking but they specifically passed a law to make it legal in Texas.

Hmm, I wonder if it's "more legal" to fly drones with guns than to fly drones without guns.

FAA aint **** to the 2nd Amendment!

I'm calling it my right to bear wings.
