    Fall 2017 to Fall 2018 was insane in terms of double-digit fatalities. Sutherland Springs, Vegas concert, Douglas Stoneman and Santa Fe: two in Texas, and two school shootings, and it seems like the Vegas one could have hit 100 in deaths with just more time. Then in fall 2018, Pittsburgh synagogue and something at a bar in SoCal. Every year since 2010 at least one with double digits.

    Building security really wasn't even a thing in the '90s but there was also no meaningful expectation of mass shootings.

    I don't think the compadres belong in that list. Innocent civilians caught in the middle of drug wars is just as terrible.
