You guys did the same thing with Chicago a couple of years ago, and it was pretty clear you all had never been there. Stay out of Garfield Park and a couple other neighborhoods and you couldn't tell the difference from any other city. In your minds, never having been there, you built it up into some boogie man city indistinguishable from downtown Fallujah in 2004 as soon as you cross the city limits.
Their record pace murder rate was the boogie man. Ask. Dwayne Wade. If you dont think Chicago has a black on black violence problem you are the excuse machine.
It is all Garfield Park and another neighborhood to the southeast whose name eludes me. 96% of the city is like every other city in America. It's got a kind of unpleasant midwest city feel, with tons of dull tan brick, but as long as you arent going to buy heroin in Garfield Park (or as long as you haven't been ghettoized into living in the Garfield Park neighborhood), you can spend years and years and years in the city without anybody trying to murder you, no matter your skin color.

You are the one saying we shouldn't talk about past problems and that they need to take responsibility and just fix their own problems. So I am just asking you how does a 6 year old take responsibility for their situation and fix it?

When was the last time you were in Chicago? Maybe you can give a breakdown of which neighborhoods are bad and which aren't from your personal experience? I'm guessing the answer to those two questions are, "never" and "huh, what?". Propaganda pieces on Breirbart trying to scare you ≠ reality.
I grew up in the baltimore/ washington area. There were/are white sections of baltimore and baltimore county and the northern tip of Anne Arundel County that are dangerous. Of course, West Baltimore is like a different kind of world. Very very dangerous in parts of West Baltimore. East Baltimore too but not quite as bad. State cops wont go into Baltimore anymore. The city cops were thrown under the bus if you remember and said **** it. Baltimore is done.
