Where did u see that Mad Bum doesn’t want to be here? Just because we’re 1 of the 10-15 teams he included in the no-trade clause? I’m sure he included those teams when he signed the contract years ago and not yesterday.
What more could you possibly want. It's written down in a legal document. lol. Yes. He went that far. Witnessed. He could swear on a bible I reckon. People change their minds all the time, but until he says otherwise, I think the contract says it all. That's plenty for me. No means no.
That's not how most of the no-trade clauses work. The list is usually updated every off-season. Usually no-trade clauses include a lot of contending teams, not because the player doesn't want to be traded there, but because it can be used as leverage. It's really common for an acquiring team to pick up a team option in order for a player to waive his no-trade clause. Or some other financial incentive to the player.
