    I don’t love the market. There certainly isn’t anyone available that’s a decided upgrade over Miley, who has been fantastic. If we’re entering the playoffs with this lineup, our top 3 starters, and a healthy back end of the pen, we’re as good as anybody.

    I think a trade to lengthen the rotation or the bullpen would be advantageous, but without knowing the cost I can’t say how disappointed I’d be if we stand pat or not.

    I mean, yeah but so was Cole before he got here.
    I’d say Thor has tons of unrealized potential as a glass half full way of looking at it. But yeah, you aren’t wrong.

    This is one of the headlines on Rotoworld right now as well with the added statement that Astros have also shown interest in Boyd & Wheeler and are certain to make an addition before the deadline Wednesday

    In addition to being left handed and a change in pace from JV and Cole’s style, MadBum is also a very good hitter for a pitcher which could make a big difference in one of the WS games. No doubt he would be the best available pitcher for a variety of reasons, but at what price.

    Don't sweat it bro.

    He put every contender that would be likely to trade for him on his no trade list. It allows him to personally approve any likely trade. It's not because he's "anti-astros" or anything like that.

    Cause it was percentages and percentages mean nothing if it doesn’t add up right

    ***yes I know none of this means anything anyway, cause none of us know what Luhnow and other teams are truly discussing or what value they place on prospects

    But it’s all fun to discuss for sure

    Personally, I 100% want Thor and I 100% want Greinke and I 100% want Mancini and I 100% don’t want to give up Tucker or Whitley

    This is crazy/silly. Every 10 seconds a reporter links Houston to a different guy. It’s safe to assume Houston is engaged on every single good pitcher (available or not) and until a deal is done or guys come off the board, that won’t change.

    Feels like the first domino is imminent. The “insiders” seem like they are going crazy and now just linking the Astros to every available pitcher.
