I'm not too upset, rather see the A's make the wildcard than the Red Suxxx.

Hope they don’t though, cause that would put Lynn on the Yankees most likely

He is a rookie. Rookies strike out a lot. He will get better.

Rumors out there that the Rangers plan to keep him.

I didn't see the game, but I imagine some of the complaints deal with the fact no one was out.

He was out fairly decisively, but it was a perfect relay. If it wasn't, the tune on Pettis would be very different.

I got to see the Altuve play just now and it definitely was a great relay to get him so ...
What I did gathered by hearing Blum though is he’s kind of tired of it “Pettis forcing the issue but we’ve become accustomed to that”.

I did conveniently ignore Ks, but, hey, let's look at them.

    League averages

    Yordan stats

K% and BB% are both based on number of plate appearances.

His K% = 28.0%, which is indeed higher than league average of 22.8%
His BB% = 10.5%, which is also higher than the league average of 8.5%
His BB/K = 0.38, which roughly identical to the league average of 0.37.

There's not a lot of data so far, but his weighted GDP is 0.0, which is considered average and is above the league average of wGDP = -1.2 .

In other words, he has the stats, good and bad, of a power hitter. However, the good side seems pretty impressive in many ways even by the standards of many power hitters while the bad is about par for the course.

I apparently was wrong when I thought the included Debbie Downer picture indicated my post was tongue in cheek.

It's hard for me to tell with you sometimes. But, whatever, it piqued my interest, regardless. So I did some research, learned some things along the way, and figured I'd post them in case it would useful in the future for other people trying to find stats.

Don't forget it was Fields that served up Gopher balls to Altuve and Correa in game 2 of the World Series allowing us to take that game in L.A.
