Montrezl Harrell turns down team USA

    I understand when superstars who have been a few times turn it down, but when people like Montrezl and Redick do it, it just feels wrong. Should be an honor to represent your country.

    Why?

    They aren't required to do anything. I'd prefer to enjoy my time off versus playing in a non-Olympic tournament in China just before camp starts.

    I agree, I think it's not so bad for the tourney in general. The tourney wants to grow basketball as a whole worldwide and it would help just a little bit if the USA isn't curb stomping the competition by 40 points. Plus, if the USA finishes 2nd or 3rd we'll probably get another version of the Redeem team next Fiba tourney.
