No to any thought of a Giles return. However, I do believe our primary focus needs to be on replacing Pressly’s production, and less on upgrading Miley as a #3.
Hinch is “very concerned [about Pressly’s knee].”

Jury is still out on some of those. JV is awesome- Cole we will likely lose on total WAR but the obvious consolidation is a huge win for us and if flags fly bc of it the. It might go down as an all time great trade. Pressly seems like a sure win, right now we are losing the Osuna trade and Peacock hasn’t had as much value as Lowrie (I think that was the trade, but lowrie went back and forth multiple times and I missed out on who left for Peacock

We clearly lost the brewers trade, Is argue we lost the Kasmir trade (but I’m ok with the process) we look to be losing the JD Davis grade (again, not worried- worth doing).

All I’m saying is it’s complicated and I don’t think JL is a guy that’s running around fleecing people. We’ve sent out good value in lots of those deals.

I was saying about Giles on that trade for him a few years ago being a horrible trade...

That trade weirdly hasn't been that bad for us. For the Phillies:
    1. Oberholzer was waived less than a year later, and never made it back to the bigs.
    2. Appel never made it.
    3. Eshelman had his pro debut this year -- for the hapless Orioles. Baltimore acquired him for international slot money.
    4. Harold Arauz is hanging around the minors still...as a minor league free agent signing for the Cardinals
    5. Vincent Velasquez has shown flashes, but struggles staying healthy
Velasquez has been worth 4.7 WAR over 4 seasons. Giles and Osuna in that time have posted a combined 3.7 WAR (including a couple of Giles headcase years). Osuna and Velasquez are entering the same arbitration / free agency timeline It saved some 40 man roster spots / decisions, and there's still a potential Jonathan Arauz kicker (Astros #28 overall prospect) from the first Giles trade.

Throw in Greinke for AZ and Bukauskas from HOU and I’d be thrilled

Was trying to bang away on my iPhone while my 4 year old was waiting for me to “play Elsa and Anna” with her. It reads poorly. My bad.
If you mean my analysis of the various trades are bad then bring it on big boy. If you think JL is running around fleecing the rest of the league you are wrong.
Note- I don’t think he’s even trying to run around and fleece the rest of the league, and he’d tell you that.
