I think it's more of keeping Correa in the 5 than putting Alvarez ahead of him. With Bregman in the lineup and a DH, I'm betting Alvarez is 6th in front of Gurriel.
Always important to win on the road against good teams. Not in our natural element with the NL rules and playing a good team in a tough park. It’s a mental/morale thing.
Maybe a mental/morale thing for fans, but players have lost plenty of series in their lives and they know they will lose a lot more. They aren't affected by random stuff like this. They likely know they are one of the 2 or 3 best teams in baseball, whether the score in this game is 20-0, 2-1, 1-2, or 0-20.
