Osuna is no longer reliable and I certainly don’t trust him in a playoff situation. Who can we go after?

Reliable closer with saves at every level this year.

    Who says no?

Doug Jones is only 62. I bet he could still toss up a few of those 60mph changeups

Recency bias... Wagner blew saves too, and saved his worst for the playoffs.

And in this day/age, fastball/slider closers aren't as invincible as they once were. Off-speed/spin-rate stuff en-vouge.

of course he blew saves. Just saying he was more dominate than osuna and i felt way more comfortable with him closing.

Closers blow saves. Everybody wishes they had Mariano Rivera, but they don't. Not only do they blow saves on occasion, some inexplicably melt down in October.

Osuna has been an excellent postseason closer in his career. The vast majority of his runs came in one terrible outing (a sub 1 ERA and 0.48 WHIP in his other 17 playoff appearances). Does that guarantee anything, no, but it's a big enough sample to feel confident that he isn't a guy affected by the big moment which is about as much as you can hope for.

Not just an overreaction to yesterday (which, being in Europe, meant I missed it), but that’s 2 consecutive outings with a homer for Osuna, and he’s been hit more recently. Presley isn’t perfect, but if I was the manager he’d be the closer. Better stuff, and (not that it matters) FAR more liked among the fans.

I hear that he is available. If you are looking for someone to blow a save for little or no money, he's your man.
