Al Franken would have dunked on Trump all day every day and it would have been glorious.

Gotcha, you’d rather see Trump elected. I truly don’t understand this “cut off your nose to spite your face” view as it seems very grandiose.

It's aiming for the future. Because of our crappy FPTP voting system the "no vote" vote is the only way you can nudge your party in either direction.

"Vote for us or TRUMP *scary thunder noises* will get elected" is the same non-campaign hostage negotiation crap from 2016 I'm talking about.

It’s interesting you view it like that. As long as youre happy with Trump.

It’s like some self flagellation with your ilk, if your candidate doesn’t get to be the nominee then you make the rest of the Democrats pay for not being as extreme.

It's as simple as voting your conscience. Of course with ranked choice this problem immediately goes away (hint hint, democratic platform if you're listening).

Well we know what 4 years of Trump is.... and you would rather have another 4 years it seems if Biden gets the nominee.

It’s just so weird that progressives are better with Trump than a moderate.

You're presenting a false choice. I'm not voting for anyone.

This is the same line of attack the Hillary supporters crapped out in 2016.

It was dishonest garbage then that alienated a lot of people, and I can't believe people are doubling down on it.

Whatever makes you sleep well at night... your conscience made the Christian Taliban stronger, made environmental protections weaker, put the GOP in a stronger position to draw distracts for 2020-2030, etc.

What tangible thing did progressives get for voting for their conscience.

Sounds like playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess.

And by voting for your conscience and abstaining, you are voting for Trump. I could care less about Clinton, it’s about preventing Trump and his people from winning.

This is what Trump and the GOP wants and you are gladly helping them out.

    Have a good day.

And here comes even more of the hostage negotiation tactics.

This is not how you win people over. Sell me on your candidate. Negotiate a compromise position between the center and the left.

Don't just evoke a GOP boogieman.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how voting works.

    Goodbye.

That’s pot calling the kettle black.

But hey...... Maybe I do have a fundamental misunderstand how voting works....

.... when you abstain for your conscience do you get to carry over your vote to the next election and get two votes?

Ned Stark was an honorable old fool and it cost him his head and nearly destroyed the North.

how did the further left ride it better?

    please give examples.

he is bringing up those states because they are the key to keeping the House.

if they don't keep the house it does not matter who is president.

It still matters who is president. I actually think the greatest chance for keeping the house and making gains in the Senate is getting a Democratic Presidential candidate that will bring voters to the polls. Most people who are motivated enough to vote for a Democratic presidential candidate will also vote for the congress representatives from the same party.

That's how Trump got elected last time, and he may very well get elected the same way again in 2020.

I think her major flaw is lack of charisma, if she had some she would be doing much better IMO.

She also has a authenticity problem.

    I agree.

It's the other voters who I am worried about especially if they think the candidate it too radical.

I agree, and who will that be? I'm still trying to figure that out.
