well yea. he's not very good. he's very popular for casuals because they like dunks and triple doubles.

Get triple double and people still think not good, then I know he is underrated.

Do not think Elston Turner will get the best, defensively, out of WB.

Bzdelik or Erman would have a greater impact, they are known as defensive gurus. Russ respects game.

Harden can take YMCA scrubs to top6 in west. Now he have Westbrook, his friend, for full season. Is there really any more questions? we gonna be juggernaut end of the story

We did the same thing to Lebron since he was in his prime.

It's a little presumptuous to think that they don't understand those things aren't measurable. There are a lot of things that aren't measurable in almost any data science exercise, but immeasurable variables are going to impact the things that actually are measurable. Like if Westbrook has that extra fire, and gets that extra effort putback dunk that someone else maybe wouldn't get, he gets credit for that. He gets 1 offensive rebound and 1 field goal. If his energy fires up his teammates, and his teammates play with more passion, that's going to improve the teams offensive rating or defensive rating or whatever.

You're half right about immeasurables in that they are not directly incorporated - there is no "passion coefficient" or something silly like that. There are no "willpower" rankings. There are a lot of things in basketball that can't be measured. But all of these intangible things that can't be measured directly will show up in the things that we can measure.

MDA loves Paul for a reason. Harden recruited Chris for a reason.

Paul is going to be missed for his floor leadership, BB IQ and especially his defense.

Only with Rockets 2 seasons but will consider CP3 to be a Rockets great.

Much like Ron Artest but moreso.

Yeah, there's gotta be a balance there. Like only go for rebounds if the shot actually went up. Morey might be able to help mitigate that risk with statistical analysis. There's gotta be data out there that Westbrook can use to his advantage.

Fair enough. But some stats drop when applied in volume simply because of fitness, durability and opposition scheming. Just because someone looks inefficient in high usages it doesnt mean he wouldnt be superb in smaller role and vice versa

We've seen Westbrook in lower volume scenarios and varying offensive schemes, though. He has a ton of experience. Even playing next to Durant and Harden and taking relatively few shots he's never had superb efficiency. He's consistently a 30% three point shooter for his career. Actually, the only time he's shot over 30% from downtown in the past five seasons was actually his highest volume season (16/17). Doesn't bode well for being able to play off the ball.

CP3 will be missed but if Harden ever gets injured this season which I hope not. Would you rather have Russell or CP3 on the court?

how do you measure the crowd ignition?

westi's tenacity ignites the crowd(and teammates) gets them into it and helps winning the games why harden s letthargic style walking it up may put the crowd into sleep and lead to losing the game eventho he plays 'more efficiently'

IMO the board is beginning to underrate Westbrook.

Only worried about his poor shooting. I think he will be great at everything else.
