Hes not necessarily wrong but yeah agreed. His acting is one of those sacred things that should never be discussed.
No matter what movie he is in; no matter how old he is.........I always see Ted. Not saying it's a horrible thing--or necessarily a good thing......but for me it's fact.
I’m getting deja vu from this thread for some reason. Im not saying he’s Jack Nicholson but he’s the lead in like 8 of my all time favorite movies. I don’t think I can say that about jack or many other great actors besides maybe Tom Hanks and Leo. Not to mention what a incredible person he is irl by all accounts. He certainly knows how to pick a role and he definitely doesn’t make movies worse. I watched John Wick 3 last night and I’m on the verge of declaring that trilogy as my favorite action series of all time.
The man is either John Wick or Neo in my estimation, and right now, Im leaning John Muthafukkin Wick. Jack Traven and Ted aint got nothing on them two. Pew Pew...... John Wick just double tapped in your cranium while you were thinking about it.
His acting was a tad stiff back in the days. I liked the Bill and Ted days though. Should do more comedy and less action and love flicks. Speed was good when he had short hair.
His best acting example imo is that love movie he made with Sandra Bullock. I think it was called ‘The Lake House”. That is the only film I can recall him playing just a normal person aside from “River’s Edge” which was a film set in high school. Definitely not the best actor around but definitely unique and talented. He should have just tried to play himself as much as possible in this video being the nice guy with the same lines and all. But, he went over-the-top Keanu with whisper voice. I would have liked to see him play it straight up with a special set of niceness and skills.
I replayed this scene several times after watching the movie and LOL’d every time! I don’t know why I find that scene so hilarious! Possibly the walk? The song? The hand kiss gesture? A combination of the three??? I know I’m weird... ....... ....... .......
Him and Nick Cage are up there picking unique roles that are interesting enough for a cult following. Cage is the better actor but also the bigger sellout. Dinosaur bones and Crystal skulls don't grow on trees...
