    Presti is already working with Paul's agents at CAA Sports -- Leon Rose and Steven Heumann -- to redirect Paul to a new team, league sources tell ESPN. The Heat are prominent in the conversations, but there are other possibilities also being explored, sources said. Presti and Rose worked together last year on a similar situation with Carmelo Anthony.

    I have been very vocal on this site about my feelings about Russell Westbrook. While it’s not a trade I would have personally made, I will reserve judgment until I see the new-look Rockets play for an extended period of games. For this to really work, Westbrook will have to be receptive to using analytics to change his shot selection, and Harden will have to play more off the ball.

    That said, this trade does nothing to solve the starting small forward issue or backup power forward and center issues the team currently has. So it will be interesting to see how Morey finishes the rest of the roster.

    I’ll say right now that I’m not a huge fan of Westbrook and I really appreciated CP3s intelligence and gamesmanship. That said, whether it was injury or age, he was clearly a step slower last season and while Russ is on the wrong side of 30 as well he’s still athletic as hell and more durable.

    I don’t think the Rockets are done yet. The most boring offseason I can remember has suddenly turned on it’s head.

    I’m glad to be on this wild ride with you guys. It’s going to be a fun season.
